I am empathetic to your worries, and am also concerned by the events transpiring between Israel and Palestine.
I support both Israel and Palestine, and have advocated for a peaceful two-state solution. This proposal risks making any chance of a two-state solution virtually impossible, as it would worsen relations between Israel and Palestine, not to mention significantly worsen the regional situation and damage Israel’s international reputation.
Throughout my career in conflict resolution, I have maintained that the best way to achieve solutions is through open dialogue, mutual respect and a willingness for compromise on both parties. I will continue to communicate my concerns with the Israeli Ambassador, and continue to advocate a peaceful two-state solution in parliament and with the delegations from both sides.
